Seuss was born and raised in Topeka, KS in October of 1994. Growing up, He enjoyed fine arts, Band, and creating art & music in general. Seuss was brought up listening to all different types of music, but around the age of nine he got his hands on Eminem’s album “The Marshall Mathers LP” and he loved it! He would listen to it over & over everyday. Following his obsession with this body of work, he decided he wanted to start writing his own raps. He would then go on to writing songs and would record in local home studios whenever possible. His focus was set on mastering his craft, which would ultimately become his strong suite.
From age nine to approximately fourteen years old Seuss would continue to master his craft, but would remain unknown to the community as a musical entity. Around the age of 15 he recorded “Changes”, under the name Lil Seuss. He was also a member of a local Rap group known as YTF (Young Top Figgaz). The group would later split and Seuss became a solo artist. In 2013, Seuss started recording and mixing his own music. His first solo project would become an underground mixtape entitled “Cynical”. He started putting material out fairly quickly, and by 2014 shot his first music video for his song “Sam I am”, followed by a music video for “Dope”. That same year, he also began performing live on a regular basis. Some notable artists he has performed alongside are: Bone Thugs N Harmony, Scarface, Snow Tha Product, Twista, Rittz, Brotha Lynch Hung, Kotton Mouth Kings, Afroman, Devin The Dude, Insane Clown Posse, Murs, Twiztid, Mac Lethal, Jarren Benton, MayDay, RA The Rugged Man,and many more. He has also headlined a handful of his own shows.
In 2015, after winning several rap contests through Seuss flew to California to record his single “Let me flow” produced by Zack Arnett, at the world famous Studio City Sound studios in Studio City, Ca. The song is a hip hop rendition of Zapp & Rogers classic song “Doo Wah Ditty” reproduced completely with no samples. The music video will be shot 2017 after much anticipation. Seuss is also working on his debut album produced by legendary Kansas City producer SG.
Seuss continues to amaze people from all walks of life with his unique approach at Rap and an undeniable work ethic. From his performances to his projects Seuss continues to give the people quality material, simply by remaining in touch with his roots. He is currently an independent artist.
